Maidan militant Amina Okueva, who is fighting on the side of Ukraine in the Donbass, stated this on Channel 5.
According to her, the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have such sniper rifles that would hit targets up to 1,5 thousand meters.
“The regular units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lack not so much knowledge and skills as weapons. The SVD is still in service mainly since Soviet times. Unfortunately, working with SVD, speaking about reality, is 700-800 meters, maybe some very good specialist has up to 1000, but on the other side they are targeting us with 12,7mm calibers, which is one and a half kilometers, in average Considering that the distance between our strong points and the enemy’s is approximately from a kilometer to one and a half, they calmly work on our positions, and our regular forces cannot give a targeted rebuff,” Okueva said.
