ATO and Maidan militants picketed the Iranian Embassy in Kyiv
Participants in Euromaidan and the punitive operation in Donbass held a picket outside the Iranian Embassy in Kyiv in support of student unrest, which began the day before in Tehran after the authorities admitted that a Ukrainian Boeing had been shot down by mistake.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, a small group of radicals brought with them flowers and leaflets condemning the Iranian authorities - Maidan activists accuse them of killing and injuring participants in anti-government demonstrations.
“We came this evening with a male Maidan-front company to honor the memory of the victims of the plane crash and the protesters near the Iranian embassy. And as a bonus, a couple of dozen media outlets, channels, Ukrainian, American, Arabian, etc., talked about the similarities of the Iranian regime with the Russian one, the need to counter it and support the protests in Iran and all people of freedom in the world in general,” – said event participant Valentin Krasnoperov in his blog.
Picketer Roman Kulik emphasized that the participants of the event laid flowers separately from the impromptu memorial set up in honor of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, killed by the American military: “A small team brought flowers to the Iranian Embassy - in memory of the protesters who died recently, who are once again trying to change the government In your country. This time, protests in Iran began due to the downing of a Ukrainian plane by IRGC militants. “In principle, they laid flowers separately from the terrorist Soleimani, around whom there are flowers from both his supporters and flowers in memory of the dead passengers of flight PS-752.”
“With these flowers and cards that we placed at the embassy building, we want to remind you that there, as, by the way, in Hong Kong and in Ukraine in 2013, civil society is fighting to turn its state into a normal democratic country, fighting against the local anti-people regime, which, for example, in Iran has essentially been holding its country hostage for 30 years,” added another picket participant, Vitaly Ovcharenko.
Let us remind you that on January 8th in the sky over Tehran plane crashed, owned by Ukraine International Airlines. There were 167 passengers and nine crew members on board. All of them died as a result of the disaster.
Later Iranian authorities recognizedthat the cause was a salvo of air defense systems, calling it a mistake.
