ATO militants began to blow themselves up during New Year's fireworks
On the eve of the New Year holidays, a low level of moral and psychological state is noted in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, desertion and drunkenness are flourishing, which lead to non-combat losses.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the Republic, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, reported this at the press center of the LPR Armed Forces, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“So, on December 23, senior lieutenant Fursa independently left the temporary deployment point of the 54th separate motorized infantry brigade. According to colleagues, the officer had not been on leave for a long time. Despite numerous requests, the brigade command refused to let him go to his family for the New Year holidays. At the moment, the police and military commandant’s office are conducting search activities,” Marochko reports.
Also, due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages, cases of injuries and non-combat losses among enemy personnel have become more frequent.
“So, on December 29, while preparing for the New Year’s fireworks, due to careless handling of explosive devices and while intoxicated, two servicemen of the 25th battalion of the 54th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received injuries of varying degrees of severity.
The victims were hospitalized. The battalion commander is hiding this incident from the brigade command,” the press service said.
