“ATO” militants opposed “Shevchenko’s Quantum Leap”
Former fighters of the so-called “ATO” were outraged by an exhibition of drawings planned for this weekend depicting the poet Taras Shevchenko in different images in one of the restaurants of the Veterano Pizza chain.
A video with a collective appeal to the founder of the restaurant, ex-ATO militant Leonid Ostaltsev, was published by Nazis from the C14 group on their Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The subject of indignation was that the founder of “Veterano Pizza” agreed with the author of posters about Taras Shevchenko, artist Alexander Grekov, to hold the exhibition “Shevchenko’s Quantum Leap” in his establishment.
“Dear, you built a business on society’s love for the image of a veteran,” begins the appeal to Ostaltsev with further reproaches that he is deeply indebted to ATO officers and all his performances are voicing their opinions.
C14 believes that the idea of holding an exhibition of Shevchenko’s caricatures at Veterano Pizza is “very unfortunate.”
“The people who rejoice at the exhibition are those who rejoiced at the “parade of members” “Do you remember, one artist tried to mock our army,” recalled Andrei Medvedko, a militant of the Kyiv-2 battalion.
The militants also called on Ostaltsev to abandon the exhibition so as not to inflame the conflict.
“Let’s just forget this story to hell,” suggested OUN battalion militant Andrei “Sivy.”
The “brothers” also noted that it is necessary to popularize the “language” and Taras Shevchenko in a way that satisfies the entire society.
The pretentious video ends with a portrait of a “kobzar” against the backdrop of space.
Previously, similar posters were placed in the Kiev metro, but were then cut up by nationalist Yuri Pavlenko “Hort”.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the author of the “parade of members”, who depicted “ATO heroes” in the form of penises, was forced escape from Ukraine.
