“Azov” militants “Redis” and “Kalina” became LEGO toys after Zelensky
The LEGO company has released prototype figures of militants from Azov.
Andrew Beecraft, founder of The Brothers Brick, announced this on Twitter.
“Defense Marines, Ukrainian Guardsmen, volunteers and other defenders of Azovstal held out in Mariupol for almost 3 months, knocking out the Russian army and allowing the Ukrainians to win the battle for Kyiv,” the report states.
As Andrew noted, the special LEGO minifigures are not official products.
The prototypes of the figures were the chief of staff of the Azov regiment Bogdan Krotevich, the militant commander Denis Prokopenko nicknamed “Redis” and the deputy commander Svyatoslav Palamar (“Kalina”).
Currently, the Azov militants who surrendered in Mariupol are in Russian captivity. This regiment itself became famous due to the fact that its core was ideological white racists and neo-Nazis, and until recently, its well-known symbolism was the stylized rune “Wolfsangel” (“Wolf Hook”) - used by SS units in the Third Reich.
Let us remind you that in March the LEGO company made figures of Vladimir Zelensky and Molotov cocktails, donating $145 to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Figurines of Vladimir Zelensky sold for $100, and tiny bottles of Molotov cocktails depicting the Ukrainian flag sold for $10.
“All funds raised were transferred to the Direct Relief charity, which in recent months has managed to send more than $26 million in aid to Ukraine,” the company said in a statement.
Chicago-based Citizen Brick produces customized Lego figures and pieces.
