Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin said this in an interview with the Union TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This information comes directly from people who cross the demarcation line. Ukrainian nationalists have set up a checkpoint in an open field and are stopping civilian vehicles and conducting an illegal search. When searching personal belongings, if they find a SIM card from the Phoenix mobile operator, they break it.
An outrageous incident occurred at a Ukrainian checkpoint. The pensioner wrapped the brake in a local newspaper published on the territory of the DPR. When Ukrainian nationalists saw this newspaper, they took away the brake, and tried to burn the newspaper, but due to the strong wind they could not set it on fire. After unsuccessful attempts to destroy the press, the Right Sector fighters forced the pensioner to eat it,” said Basurin.
