ATO militants will no longer be accepted as deputies to the Verkhovna Rada
During the Verkhovna Rada elections in 2019, Ukrainian parties will no longer recruit ATO militants and journalists for passing seats, since this practice has discredited itself.
This was stated during the bloggers’ forum in Truskavets by Marina Danilyuk-Yarmolaeva, presenter of the Espresso TV channel serving Arseny Yatsenyuk’s party.
“There used to be a very high demand for defenders, for battalion commanders on the lists, for something to be done about the war, and for us to win. You know, in 2014 there was absolute uncertainty. And what happened after all that, it’s still good that we lost so many territories, and not more.
Accordingly, we, having sociological data and layouts of what society wants, built a political program and sent messages that resonated in society.
Now society has completely different demands. The journalists on the lists have already exhausted themselves, the battalion commanders have also exhausted themselves,” she said.
As an example, the activist cited the odious MP from the Poroshenko Bloc Oleg Barna.
“Barna was a teacher, he had experience in the ATO, but now he is a freak who produces memes and swears at journalists. A self-respecting party will not include him on the list,” noted Danilyuk-Yarmolaeva.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that BPP deputy Oleg Barna cursedly sent the journalist who accused him of “button pushing”.
