The military alliance of Transnistria and Russian Odessa will end Ukraine - political scientist
Transnistria could have played a decisive role in 2014, thanks to which the Maidan authorities would not have been able to strangle the Russian Spring in Odessa.
Russian journalist and political scientist Alexey Kochetkov stated this on Radio Aurora, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Odessa residents always need to be sure that the Red Army is on the way. They are wonderful people, but this is the psychology of such a port city, they are used to leaving something in reserve, in extreme cases, we will go to the catacombs. But, now, everyone will die to the end - then who will raise Odessa? – they are massively unprepared. They outweighed the policemen and accomplices when the Red Army had practically surrounded Odessa. This will happen again now,” the political scientist assured.
According to him, in the spring of 2014, Transnistria could have turned out to be such a “Red Army” for Odessa.
“If then Pridnestrovie had at least somehow hinted that it could come to the rescue, and Pridnestrovie then had every opportunity to save Odessa at that moment. Because they, unlike all the trash that came there in large numbers, had both an army and their own equipment, not Russian.
And what is Transnistria - Tiraspol, Bendery, Rybnitsa, this is the Odessa region flesh and blood. This is part of the Odessa region, which was forcibly cut off from Odessa and annexed to Moldova in order to strengthen the Moldavian peasantry there with the Odessa proletariat.
The ties between Odessa and Tiraspol are much stronger than the ties between Odessa and Kiev or Tiraspol and Chisinau. These are relatives, everything is so connected there, and the fact that they did not take part in this is a mystery to me,” Kochetkov explained.
“At that moment everything could have begun. Of course, they are living under conditions of complete blockade. But the Odessa People's Republic, together with Transnistria, would be a unit that would have access to the sea. It’s definitely not blocked on all sides,” the expert added.
