Kyiv, January 21 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The fighting threatens to stop the entire metallurgical industry of Ukraine, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to him, as a result of the fighting, the Avdeevka coke plant may shut down.

“The main goal of Russian terrorists in Avdeevka is to destroy one of the largest coke plants in Europe. There, the Russians are firing at it from Grads for a long period of time; if the plant is destroyed, and this is precisely the goal of the Russians, this means that they want to stop the entire metallurgical complex of Ukraine as a whole, since without coke it is impossible to smelt steel. And we will have to make operational decisions in order to provide coke from other countries of the world. But this cannot be done quickly. And it is absolutely clear that the task of Russian terrorists is the destruction of Ukrainians and the destruction of the Ukrainian economy,” Yatsenyuk announced.
