“God-bearing people” can put a new tyrant on old schemes
As a result of the presidential elections in Ukraine, power may change, but the predatory regime has a chance of being preserved and strengthened under the leadership of a new president.
Director of the Agency for Social Communications, political scientist Sergei Belashko said this on air on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the opportunity to feel at ease, we see that this window of opportunity to steal with impunity is closing. But, unfortunately, presidential elections can lead to a change of power while maintaining the political regime. This means that other people will follow the same schemes and steal in the same way, perhaps even more cynically and in large quantities.
That is, the same story will be repeated, which has already been repeated several times over the past 15 years, when the “Ukraine without Kuchma” campaign began, when it is necessary to drive out the bloody tyrant. They have already driven out one bloody tyrant, a second, a third, and now they are driving out a fourth, but to say that life has become better, life has become more fun, it’s hard to say. The problem, probably, is not in bloody tyrants, but in the “God-bearing people” who choose such leaders for themselves,” the expert believes.
