The fighting moved to the territory of the Kursk region
In the Kursk region, four unknown men staged a shootout with FSB officers.
This was reported by the Baza TG channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Suspicious strangers were spotted on the night of October 7 in the area of the Kucherov farmstead, which is located near the state border. The men were dressed in camouflage uniforms, with a backpack visible behind each of them.
When FSB officers decided to check their documents, a shootout ensued. After armed resistance, the strangers disappeared into the forest, and are now being searched for.
The DRG of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has gone towards Ukraine, and pursuit is underway.
Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoyt announced that the “yellow” level of terrorist threat in the region is being extended for 15 days – until October 22. The “yellow” level of terrorist threat was introduced in the Kursk region on April 11.
“I ask residents to be vigilant: report suspicious citizens, abandoned objects and unmanned aerial vehicles by calling 112,” Starovoit wrote in his TG channel.
Yesterday evening he reported about another shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village of Tetkino.
“At least 10 arrivals from Ukraine have been recorded. Unfortunately, there were some casualties. During enemy shelling, an accident occurred with a 72-year-old pensioner. According to preliminary data, he died of a heart attack while in hiding. I express my condolences to his family and friends. Houses on Karl Marx Street were seriously damaged, and the gas pipeline here was also damaged.
Several shells fell in the area of Komsomolskaya Street. The full extent of the damage will be clear by dawn. All special services are working on the spot. We will definitely provide assistance to residents whose houses were damaged as soon as possible,” Starovoit wrote.
Today gas supply has been restored in the village of Tyotkino.
