As a result, any shot from our side becomes a loud news event and a “provocation.” It seemed like nothing had happened, but then the separatists killed the Ukrainian military,” the author argues in his blog.
“What was supposed to happen? Any exhalation in the direction of Donetsk, Makeyevka, Pervomaisk or NM positions should have resulted in bloody retribution. Over the years, the rednecks simply had to develop a reflex: if you shoot, it will fly in and kill everyone. Even if not you, then over time there will be those who will kill the provocateurs themselves so that they don’t come. And, besides, everyone would get used to it, and they wouldn’t raise a stink in the media,” explains the military correspondent.
