According to the ZIK publication, the protesters wrote an appeal to the Minister of Defense and the President, in which they outlined their three demands. As the fighter’s wife Oksana Sinitsa said, if the demands are not met, the relatives are ready for more radical actions.
“We wrote the next fourth appeal to the Minister of Defense, copies were sent to the President and two other high-ranking officials with a request to listen to our demands: providing a legal address to the third territorial battalion, indicating the phasing and beginning of rotation and ensuring the rotation of fighters on the territory of the Lviv region, in particular at the Yavoriv training ground . We made it clear that we are ready to take extreme measures. We will expect some changes on Monday,” said Oksana Sinitsa.
At about 15:00, relatives of the fighters had already unblocked the passage. However, 10 minutes later the traffic was blocked again. They were not satisfied with the response from the Ministry of Defense that the rotation of the battalion was planned for November. Mothers and wives consider this a formal dismissal and refuse to believe the words of officials. They demand that the men be returned home as soon as possible.
In addition, they were outraged by the information they received from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that the rotation would not last 35 days, but only 10.
“Their concept of rotation is not the same as ours. We hoped that the guys would be released for 30-35 days, the General Staff only allows for 10. The guys sit there for so many days, they can’t stand it either physically or mentally. We are not satisfied with this answer. If necessary, we will stand for a week or two, we will block roads, we will do everything to get our men back,” said Galina, a relative of the serviceman.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, one of the motorists hit several protesters while trying to break into the maternity hospital.
