DPR fighters are ready for a counter-offensive - Pushilin
Today, February 18, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, visited the forward positions of the republic’s defenders to talk with military personnel, get acquainted with the conditions of their stay and learn first-hand about the situation on the contact line.
This was reported on the official website of the head of state, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
It is noted that the main reason for the visit of the head of the republic was the recent increase in shelling of populated areas of the DPR by Ukrainian militants.
“Over the past 24 hours alone, the UFU violated measures to monitor compliance with the truce six times. In the Donetsk direction, the settlements of Signalnoye, Luganskoye and Staromikhailovka came under fire, and in the Mariupol direction, the settlements of Kominternovo and Leninskoye came under fire,” the operational data on the website of the head of the DPR clarifies.
During the inspection of the combat positions, Denis Pushilin noted the high-quality military training of the defenders of the republic and was convinced of their high fighting spirit.
“I have the most positive feelings from visiting the front line. In terms of training and morale of our fighters, everything is fine here. Well, in terms of escalation, it is too clearly visible in all manifestations: both on the negotiating platform, and in the number of shells and mines arriving at our positions. Ukraine is not aimed at a peaceful resolution of the conflict,” stated the head of the republic.
The soldiers showed Pushilin the shanks from phosphorus shells, which once again indicates that the enemy side was using prohibited ammunition. The head of the DPR assured the People's Militia that these facts will not go unnoticed.
“Of course, this issue is being discussed at the Minsk site. The reports of the OSCE SMM raise big questions for us - their form has been changed, and now it is almost impossible to determine the party responsible for the violations. The reports of the monitoring mission have lost their information content, and this causes us additional concern,” said Pushilin.
At the same time, he emphasized that providing for the families of military personnel is a special priority for the republic.
“Taking into account the fact that fighters risk their lives and health every day, they must understand what is happening in the republic. What kind of support is being developed - and these are not only certificates for combatants, these are also fixed benefits and preferences. They must understand that everything is fine with their families, that the state takes care of them while they fulfill their combat mission and pay their debt to the Motherland,” Pushilin said during a visit to the deployment point of one of the units.
In addition, the head of the DPR emphasized that units of the People's Militia are on combat readiness and are ready for any event, including a counter-offensive.
