The Donetsk militia is actively strengthening itself in the city center; at the moment, they have installed an anti-aircraft gun brought from Makeyevka on the roof of the SBU building, and, apparently, the rebels are not going to give up their positions without a fight.
There is also no information about any negotiations being held.
Aviation has stopped overflying the city for now, and the shooting has subsided.
Information is received from different parts of the city about the movements of militias in small groups in cars and trucks; heavy weapons are not transported.
The city is practically deserted, but transport – for now – is operating normally.
The mayor of Donetsk, Alexander Lukyanenko, addressed the residents: “We ask residents of the central districts and nearby houses not to approach the windows, not to go out onto balconies or the street unless absolutely necessary, and also, if possible, to adjust travel routes in the area.”
Despite the tense situation in the city, all public services are operating as normal. There are no interruptions in the supply of water, gas, electricity and transport. It is impossible to call a taxi; services refuse to send cars.
