“Suddenly, two soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine approached the embassy, but not on duty - they also brought flowers. “We know how scary it is to lose loved ones, we remember how the St. Petersburg-Anapa plane crashed in the Donetsk region, then it was a shock. When we found out today that people from vacation didn’t make it to St. Petersburg, it struck me again. We came to express support for the people on the other side of the border. It doesn’t matter that there is enmity between us now, peaceful people should not die. Moreover, returning to their families from vacation,” says one of the National Guardsmen.
