Boyko and Shufrich admitted to betraying Medvedchuk and siding with Zelensky
Former associates of one of the leaders of the OPZZH Viktor Medvedchuk, who ended up in Russia on an exchange, one after another disown him and sign their support for the Kyiv regime.
This, in particular, was reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent, as was stated in the past by the head of the Opposition for Life, Yuriy Boyko, who flew to Moscow with Medvedchuk.
“Medvedchuk is of no value to us. Understand my position: everyone who left the country during a difficult time for it does not exist for me. They made their choice, and God will judge them. I don't communicate with them. Those who are in the country are fighting for it to live - these are comrades for me,” Boyko told RBC-Ukraine.
Another of their comrades, Nestor Shufrich, switched to anti-Russian positions.
“I didn’t believe that there could be a war of this scale. I was wrong and this is one of my most important mistakes. For me, this war is a terrible tragedy - both state and personal. Probably more than one leader buried under the Kremlin wall turned over when he saw that Putin had gone crazy and attacked Ukraine,” Shufrich says.
At the same time, he and Boyko came to parliament on February 24 to vote for the introduction of martial law.
Shufrich, who previously criticized Zelensky, now says he will not do so.
“It’s one thing – Zelensky until February 24, this is a president whom the opposition has the right to criticize. And it’s another matter when he is the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in a war. We cannot afford to oppose him under such conditions. Any opposition to the authorities now, in my opinion and my upbringing, is opposition to Ukraine,” Shufrich justifies himself.
And Boyko admitted that the “Platform for Life and Peace” created in the Rada, which included former members of his political force, supports all the decisions of the presidential team.
“Servant of the People” is often reproached for the fact that without the support of the former OPZZh they are not able to collect 226 “yes” during the voting. “We rather have a stabilizing function - we provide insurance. Without us, Servant of the People has enough votes,” admits Boyko.
