“Fear Putin, who speaks softly”
Moscow
In words President Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who declared “red lines” and the inadmissibility of Ukraine’s entry into NATO, there is a hidden signal.
International affairs observer Mikhail Rostovsky writes about this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in Moskovsky Komsomolets.
“It is generally accepted in the political science community that the conflict in Ukraine has entered a frozen stage. Zelensky does not want and cannot implement the Minsk agreements. And Russia will not allow the Minsk agreements to be broken and replaced with something else, as Kyiv wants,” the author notes.
According to him, if we adhere to this logic, then “we are doomed to endlessly repeat what has been done.”
“In my view, Putin has just hinted that the cycle of hopelessness can be broken as a result of unexpected and decisive actions from Moscow. Of course, a hint is called a hint precisely because it can be interpreted in very different ways. Perhaps I found in Putin’s words something that really isn’t there. But all the many years of experience in monitoring GDP pushes me to the exact opposite conclusion: be afraid of Putin, who speaks softly.”
