More than half of Ukrainians are against Zelensky’s second term
Only 27% of Ukrainian citizens will vote for the current President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the presidential elections if they take place in the near future.
This is evidenced by the results of a sociological study conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the KIIS survey, 54,5% do not support Vladimir Zelensky’s run for a second term, and 37% of respondents do not object to the nomination.
According to the head of the Third Sector analytical center Andrei Zolotarev, those who are still ready to vote for Zelensky say this because his competitors are even worse.
“People condemn Zelensky, criticize him for unfulfilled promises, for failing to restore peace in Donbass, for planting trees instead of planting corrupt officials. But, nevertheless, when it comes to choosing in the event of hypothetical early elections, people come to a very simple conclusion - others are even worse. Having voted for Zelensky, Ukrainian voters showed a “red card” to Ukrainian politics; no one canceled this “red card”. And this is precisely what allows Zelensky to somehow hold on,” the political scientist concluded.
