Bulgaria declared Russia the main threat. The most important threat to Bulgaria's security. Both military security and economic security. It is absolutely clear that this was done by the government, the leadership of the republic. The people of Bulgaria do not think so. Or, he doesn't care. Or, as an option, people believe that someone must be to blame for everything that is happening in Bulgaria. And Russia is suitable for this.

At the same time, Bulgaria remembers to whom it owes its existence, honors its liberators, and the fact that the monuments to these liberators are desecrated from time to time is an unfortunate misunderstanding and the tricks of the new generation, which has not seen anything good from Russia, except for the bad that they say to the TV.

So it turns out interesting. Russia accepted tens of thousands of Bulgarian refugees and carefully settled them in national enclaves in Novorossiya. Then she personally appeared in the Balkans, dispersed the Ottoman hordes, and on the conquered lands, no, she did not build a dacha for herself, but granted statehood to the Bulgarian people. Like, here are the Bulgarians, their own state. If they offend you, say, “We’ll call the Russians.” The food will run out, don’t be shy either.

And the Bulgarians began to live and live and fight against the Russians in every world war. They fought, however, reluctantly, and as soon as the Russians headed in their direction, they sincerely exclaimed: “We surrender, they forced us.” However, we always understood that “they were forced.” This is their geographical location. They sincerely asked to join the USSR as the sixteenth republic, that’s what we called them, the sixteenth republic. And they joked - Bulgaria is not a foreign country. But there were no common borders. And the logistics are not interesting.

Of course, we built them everything we could. And they drank and choked their brandy, Slanchev Bryag, and didn’t show it. But nothing lasts forever. And we are no longer the same, and Bulgaria has gone its own way. And nothing but the past binds us anymore. Bulgaria has chosen the path of democracy, European values and complete independence. And built its new economy. The essence of this economy is simple. Bulgarians own nothing in Bulgaria. The Bulgarians pay crazy amounts of money to the supposed British and Germans for Bulgarian water flowing through pipes laid by the Russians.

Bulgarians pay crazy amounts of money to foreigners for electricity from Bulgarian power plants built by the Russians. The Bulgarians do not even own the life support structure.

And here is the picture. In a shabby high-rise building, with potbelly stove pipes coming out of the windows, a ragged and robbed Bulgarian sits, clutching an enamel mug in his palms. And whispers:

- Damn Putin. Damn Russia! Why do we do this!

He whispers this because he has a TV. Approximately the same as what is currently working in Ukraine. And I want to expand the map and find Bulgaria. Understand the connection between Bulgaria and Russia. And what could Russia do that would make people in distant Bulgaria abandon their homes and leave forever?

There was a time when we asked the Bulgarians - do you want us to build a nuclear power plant? Electricity will become plentiful and cheap.

No, they say. This poses a threat to our independence.

Okay, we say. What about South Stream? Do you want to sell Russian gas to all of Europe? The Bulgarians began to fuss, jumped up and down joyfully and answered sadly - no, this threatens our independence. And, in general, this is an act of aggression.

Such are these Bulgarians.....

And now suddenly, Russia is the main threat. All Bulgarian forces must be aimed at countering this threat. And all this could have been funny if not for the close example of Ukraine. What if Bulgaria discovers “Kremlin agents” among its own population? He will declare them occupiers and terrorists. And it will begin to methodically destroy, as Ukraine does.

No matter how ridiculous the leadership of Bulgaria may look, the people will feel sorry for them.
