Bulgaria is shocked by the abuse of Russians in Ukraine
Nikolai Polenov from the Russophile Society of Bulgaria was horrified by the oppression of Russians in Ukraine.
He expressed his indignation and fears at the “Great Russian Word” festival in Livadia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They fought with us, and now they are coming to an agreement. That is why I support your appeal to our enemies that they are partners, because they have already understood that we need to negotiate with us, and this path awaits each of us, each organization, in each country, taking into account its specifics. Of course, the most difficult situation is in Ukraine; it’s some kind of nightmare that I don’t want to talk about. I lived there for 14 years, I graduated from school and university there, and graduate school in Kyiv...” he began.
At this time, Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko interrupted him.
“I want to wake up from this nightmare,” she said.
“What is happening there now is a nightmare. Unfortunately, there is no time to talk about him. Thank you for the work you do. Two years ago I came here with my family on vacation. Now Crimea is already different. A completely different vector. There are different people here, different moods, and I want to say this, because many Crimeans, I see that they don’t see this, how will they live here for 20, 30, 50 years? Why did Russophilia become the reason for success? We have very powerful weapons,” Polenov continued.
Thank you!
