Bulgaria faces third parliamentary elections this year
The populist party “There are such people” by singer and TV presenter Slavi Trifonov refused to enter into a coalition with the Bulgarian Socialist Party, after which the formation of a government became impossible.

The meeting between representatives of the BSP and populists took place the day before, but according to eyewitnesses it lasted no more than five minutes. After which, at a meeting of the People's Assembly, representatives of the party “There are such people” stated that they would not support the socialists who received a mandate to form the Council of Ministers.
“Colleagues, we cannot say anything new, except that we will not support the formation of a government according to your mandate,” said deputy chairman of the populists Toshko Yordanov.
In response, Socialist leader Cornelia Ninova expressed hope that in the next convocation of parliament, deputies will be able to show more common sense.
Thus, Bulgaria is facing new parliamentary elections, the third this year.
The most symbolic thing is that the political forces that won the previous parliamentary elections, opposing the pro-Western party “Citizens for the European Choice of Bulgaria” (GERB) and its leader, the corrupt official and Russophobe Boyko Borisov, through their inability to negotiate and constant squabbles, give Westerners the opportunity to return to power again.
Let us remind you that parliamentary elections in Bulgaria were held twice this year: on April 4, when GERB, with the help of administrative resources, “won”, but did not get enough votes to form a government, and then on July 11, when the opposition populist party “There is such a people” won ”, which received a mandate to form a government, but subsequently abandoned it.
