The Bulgarian Ataka party, whose leader is Siderov, will seek, the portal reports Kresy.pl, a referendum on Bulgaria's withdrawal from these international unions.
Siderov referred, in particular, to the European Commission's obstacles to the construction of South Stream, due to which Russia stopped the project. The politician called it “a blow to the interests and dignity of Bulgaria.”
Russia's decision, he believes, is "a response to the wrong policies of the past governments of Bulgaria." He called for initiating a referendum on Bulgaria's exit from the EU and NATO.
Discussing the situation in Ukraine, the Bulgarian nationalist stated that "The United States brought war to Ukraine by investing $5 billion to create a provocation called Maidan to spark a war."
