Bulgarian authorities are happy about Azerbaijani gas and are silent about Russian gas
Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said that from December 31, gas from Azerbaijan will begin flowing into his country.

“We guarantee that on January 1 next year the country will not only have diversification, but also Azerbaijani gas, which will flow through Greece,” Borisov said at a government meeting. – On January 1, 2021, we will welcome Azerbaijani gas, which so many generations of politicians have negotiated with Azerbaijan. The government of the United Patriots (nationalist faction - ed.) and GERB (ruling pro-Western liberal party - ed.) is working well and provides an opportunity for complete diversification."
In turn, Bulgarian Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova clarified that until the beginning of October 2021, natural gas from Azerbaijan will be supplied through the temporary point “Kulata”. After some time, the interconnector between Bulgaria and Greece will be completed, through which gas will flow continuously .
Typically, the Bulgarian side is stubbornly silent about when it intends to complete and launch its part of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, through which Russian gas should flow to Europe.
Previously, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced The Serbian section of this gas pipeline was launched on December 30, the test launch of gas on the Serbian section took place on December 25.
