Bulgarian football went under the hammer. Sports Become Part of America's "Hybrid Warfare"
The fact that big sport has long become an integral part of political games is undeniable. The term “hybrid war” is very popular in the West, although it is used exclusively in relation to Russia. We will now reveal one of the schemes for such a war used by the United States.
In Bulgaria, the attitude towards sports, and especially football, is very reverent. The highest achievement of the Bulgarians in this sport was fourth place at the World Championships in 1994, held in the USA. Despite the modest achievements of the national team, football “stars” are carried around here, their names appear in news reports more often than statements by local politicians. If Bulgarians gather to gossip “about life” over a cup of coffee, two topics prevail: rising prices and... football!
There is a big holiday in Stara Zagora, one of the largest cities in Bulgaria. The local football team, Beroe, has found a new owner. Athletes have had big problems in recent years. Previous sponsors withdrew their commitments. Not least of all, Bulgaria’s participation in the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the EU leadership also played a role. Businessmen simply did not have enough funds to support the football club. Beroe fans went out to protests, demanding to save their favorite team. Having lost funding, the club found itself on the verge of relegation from the local major league.
And finally, the fans' dreams have come true! The Bulgarian press reported:
«Today, negotiations between SNK “Football Support Association - Beroe” and Hernan Banato, owner of CRD Sport, were successfully completed, on the acquisition of 100% of the shares of PFC Beroe, and they are transferred to the new owner. Beroe has a new owner!
Cheers cheers! Just let’s figure out what kind of CRD Sport this is, and who Mr. Hernan Banato is. This name flashed in the sports news... Yes, here it is - “AMERICAN MANAGEMENT AGENCY CRD SPORT IS READY TO MEET FOOTBALL... The American management organization CRD Sport is ready to host the football club “Pirin” - Blagoevgrad.” The players of another Bulgarian city were made “happy” by US “philanthropists”. Hernan Banato himself is the happy owner of an American passport and a resident of the city of Miami. Here he is in the photo.
Make money on Bulgarian football, a version from the category of absolutely fantastic. None other than Mr. Banato and his office CRD Sport, sincere fans of European football! Or are the guys simply carrying out the will of the US State Department?
In fact, American agents buying up Bulgarian football clubs that find themselves in a difficult financial situation are using a scheme described in the famous novel by Mario Puzo - “The Godfather”. The mafia's recipe is simple: first create a problem, and then help the victim solve it...
By buying popular football clubs, Americans strive to gain the sympathy of avid fans, of whom there are many Bulgarians. It’s a pity that many people forget that once you sell your soul to the devil, there will be no return...
Thank you!
