A Bulgarian TV channel exposed the staged meeting of the pro-Western prime minister with “jubilant people”
During the visit of pro-Western Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to a car factory in Vratsa, activists from his party Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) pretended to be a cheering population and rushed at the press.
A report about this was filmed by Vratsa TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Prime Minister Boykov Borisov, unpopular among the people and usurping power in the country, paid a visit to Vratsa, where one of the large automobile enterprises is located, to report through his video blog about his latest successes.
At the entrance to the enterprise, a crowd of several dozen people was waiting for the head of government, which, upon his appearance, began chanting: “Bravo, Boyko!” and applaud.
However, local TV noticed that local activists of the ruling GERB party predominated among those who greeted them, while the prime minister’s arrival was not announced to journalists in any way. However, the few representatives of the press who found out through their own channels about Borisov’s arrival and came to meet him were not allowed into the enterprise by security.
“There was a swamp, but now there are hundreds of jobs, this remains with the people,” Borisov commented on what he saw at the enterprise for his personal YouTube channel. – This is the most modern enterprise in Northern Bulgaria, where 1500 people already work. Electronics for almost all German cars, both fuel and electric cars, are produced here.”
At the same time, when Borisov boasted about the repair of the Botevgrad-Mezdra road, a reporter from Vratsa TV shouted out that this could have happened ten years ago, but the prime minister was always directing financial flows to other places. In response to this, activists of the pro-Western GERB party began to shout and attack the journalist.
Let us recall that mass protests are currently taking place in Bulgaria demanding the resignation of Boyko Borisov and his government, as well as Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev.
