Bulgarian Russophobes are concerned about military cooperation between Russia and Serbia
The Atlantic Council of Bulgaria called on the country's government to introduce a ban on the movement of Russian weapons through its territory.
This expert organization is purposefully fighting the Soviet monumental and spiritual heritage of Bulgaria, and is also engaged in “debunking the myth of the Bulgarian-Russian brotherhood.”
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, the Atlantic Council of Bulgaria noted on its Facebook page that Russia is now supplying T-72 tanks to Serbia, and in February supplied Pantsir-S1 systems. All this, according to Russophobes, turns Serbia into a large Russian military base in the Balkans.
“Our government has every reason to prevent Russian planes from flying into Serbia! – say Russophobes. – In this case, because of the T-72 tanks. And here you can specify at least 10 reasons.”
The arguments of the Atlantic Council of Bulgaria sound like this:
Bulgaria is an ally in NATO, and the Russian Federation in its military doctrine views the Alliance as an enemy;
Moscow is waging a hybrid war against Bulgaria, NATO and the EU; The Kremlin intends to prevent Euro-Atlantic integration of the countries of South-Eastern Europe, seeking to use Serbia as a base in the Balkans for subversive activities;
The Russian Federation illegally occupied Crimea and is conducting a systematic campaign to destabilize Ukraine;
Moscow is militarizing Crimea and intensively building up its military potential in the Black Sea;
Russian intelligence services are conducting a systematic campaign of espionage and other subversive activities in Bulgaria;
The GRU organized attempts to kill Bulgarian citizens on our territory;
MiG does not properly fulfill contracts for the repair of MiG-29 aircraft;
Russian military aircraft have been conducting provocative flights into Bulgarian airspace for years.

Atlanticists are confident that in its actions Bulgaria needs to follow the example of Romania.
“Romania has already refused to allow Russian tanks into Serbia. And since they could not cross the Danube, they are now flying across the Black Sea, because we supposedly cannot stop them. Fantastic! But Bucharest can!” Russophobes are indignant.
