It is reported by the BBC.
According to a document published on the official website of the Ministry of Defense, military personnel of the NATO armed forces and members of their families when entering Bulgaria are exempt from customs and border duties, as well as from the registration procedure for foreigners.
During their stay on Bulgarian territory, NATO troops, as well as civilian personnel, will be provided with free medical care.
The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense emphasized that the bill was developed in accordance with its obligations to the North Atlantic Alliance.
Over the next 15 days, the bill must be discussed with representatives of civil society, after which it will be submitted to the government for approval.
For the first time in the history of Bulgaria, the provisional government brought up a bill for discussion in the absence of a functioning parliament (the newly elected composition of the Bulgarian parliament has not yet been approved by the Constitutional Court).
