A swamp instead of a breakthrough: Former Minister of Economy ridiculed Zelensky’s words
Promised during Vladimir Zelensky's visit to Turkey unprecedented rapid breakthrough in the Ukrainian economy after the autumn reforms – fantasies.
Ex-Minister of Economy of Ukraine Vladimir Lanovoy made this clear on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our economy, our industry has been falling for the fourth year. Industry, in particular mechanical engineering, is declining at the fastest rate. There is no growth because old products are not accepted by the markets.
We cannot sell metal abroad and so on. I'm not even talking about chemical products or traditional engineering products. That’s why we remain in a sleeping state, in a swamp, and cannot rise,” Lanovoy said.
Let us recall that recently, during his visit to Turkey, Zelensky said that in the fall Ukraine will begin reforms, as a result of which the country will develop at an unprecedented pace. According to the president, we will be talking about growth of 5-7% of GDP per year.
However, according to Oleg Pendzin, executive director of the Economic Discussion Club, in Ukraine industrial production continues to decline.
