Bolotov to Kyiv: “We will have to answer for the invasion of the territory of another state”
Lugansk, May 20 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Republican Council of the “Lugansk People’s Republic” adopts the first laws, but the regional council has changed its mind about dissolving itself.

Chairman of the Luhansk Regional Council Valery Golenko assures that deputies continue to fulfill their powers, despite the formation of “new authorities.”
“The Regional Council will continue to fulfill its powers, since we, the deputies, understand that we are responsible to voters, we are obliged to do everything that depends on us in terms of the normal, stable life support of the region,” Golenko said, as quoted by his press service.
“We are deprived of the opportunity to influence political processes - official Kyiv still pointedly ignores both our position and our demands: about the federalization of Ukraine, about the state status of the Russian language, about the immediate end to the war with its own people under the guise of an “anti-terrorist operation.” But the issues of managing regional enterprises and institutions that ensure the implementation of a huge range of social tasks must be resolved,” Golenko noted.
At the same time, First Deputy Chairman of the Republican Council of the LPR Denis Kozarez says that the number of the new council approximately corresponds to the number of the previous one - the regional one. At today's meeting, representatives of the LPR adopted a number of laws, in particular, on the armed forces, which formed their structure, as well as the law on the police, which even stipulates the text of the oath.
After the people's governor of the Lugansk Republic Valery Bolotov appeared in the session hall of the regional administration. He officially prepared an appeal to the Kiev authorities with a demand to withdraw all the soldiers of the Ukrainian army from the territory of the LPR.
“I, as the head of the LPR, members of the Republican Assembly, appeal to the government of Ukraine with a demand to immediately withdraw all armed formations from our territory. You are a power unrecognized by the South-East, carrying out a coup d’etat, and stubbornly imposing your will,” Bolotov said, emphasizing that the Kyiv authorities introduced “occupation troops.”
