GXNUMX no longer means anything - Medvedev
The GXNUMX, after Russia was excluded from it, lost its significance. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev stated this today, speaking at the Gaidar Forum.

The GXNUMX has replaced the GXNUMX. What does this seven mean without the other major economies? Nothing,” Medvedev said.
He considers the sharp politicization of international economic relations to be an important feature of the modern economy.
“A forceful approach, sanctions that always run counter to economic agreements. Politically motivated barriers to mutually beneficial projects today constantly generate tension in the world,” Medvedev said.
However, the prime minister emphasized, there is another trend in the global economy.
“The global nature of the economy is increasing. Globalization does not need to be saved. If politicians do not interfere with it, it is quite capable of pulling itself out on its own, including through new mechanisms of global governance,” Medvedev said.
The Gaidar Forum has been held since 2010 and brings together experts, leading world scientists and politicians, representatives of financial circles and the global business elite. The forum is organized by the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, the Yegor Gaidar Institute and the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR).
