More than half of Poles agree to give asylum to residents of Donbass
More than half, namely 57% of Poles, were in favor of their country providing asylum to residents of Donbass.

The publication writes about trends with reference to the results of a September survey conducted by the Center for Public Opinion Research (CBOS).
However, the survey showed that 38% of respondents are against the reception of Ukrainians from the territory where the war is going on.
Sociologists found that 67% of respondents were in favor of Poland not accepting refugees from the Middle East and North Africa who arrive in the countries of the European Union.
However, 28% of respondents believe that Poland should provide them with asylum, and 5% found it difficult to answer this question.
In general, 52% are against Poland’s acceptance of refugees from countries affected by armed conflicts, 44% are committed to such an idea, and 4% found it difficult to answer this question.
According to CBOS, “in general, Poles express a favorable attitude towards the idea of accepting residents of eastern Ukraine who are forced to leave the country where there is a war with Russia.”
Providing asylum to Ukrainians from the east in Poland is supported by 57% of Poles, 38% are against it, and 6% found it difficult to answer this question. Compared to August, the number of Poles who are willing to accept asylum seekers from Ukraine has increased by 3%.
