Most of all, Ukrainians do not trust their own courts and Russian media – opinion poll
Ukrainians express the greatest distrust in the Ukrainian judicial system as a whole and in the Russian media, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted by the Kyiv Razumkov Center.
According to a sociological study, 80% of respondents do not trust the Russian media, 72% do not trust the Ukrainian judicial system as a whole, 66% do not trust local courts, 65% do not trust commercial banks, 63% do not trust Ukrainian political parties, and 61% do not trust the prosecutor’s office.
Another 59% of Ukrainians do not trust the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine - 56%, the state apparatus (officials) - 55%, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) - 54%, the specialized anti-corruption prosecutor's office - 53%, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption ( NAPC) - 52%, National Bank of Ukraine - 51%, Anti-Corruption Court - 50%, trade unions - 49%.
The study was conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from September 6 to September 11, 2019. 2018 respondents aged 18 years and over were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine, with the exception of Crimea and the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, according to a sample representing the adult population of the country according to main socio-demographic indicators. The survey sample was constructed as a multi-stage, random sample with a quota selection of respondents at the last stage. The theoretical sampling error (without taking into account the design effect) does not exceed 2,3% with a probability of 0,95.
