Most Ukrainians prefer European slavery instead of working in Ukraine
Almost all Ukrainians are ready to work abroad, even in a lower position or for a similar salary, as long as they leave Ukraine.
The head of the expert-analytical center, Yulia Drozhzhina, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Migration sentiment in Ukraine is very high. Speaking in numbers, 92% are thinking about going to work abroad, but only 29% have actual experience. Including 65% are ready to work outside their profession and 35% of respondents agree to be demoted in order to find a job. At the same time, citizens understand that many problems and difficulties follow, but no one loses their desire. Those returning from work in countries such as Germany, Poland and the United States report difficulties such as separation from family, difficulty finding work, and language barriers.
People face certain problems, and the salary, which at first glance seems a little higher than in Ukraine, does not always pay for the hardships that specialists face - these are the costs of food and accommodation, so it does not always exceed what they receive in Ukraine, that’s why many come back,” Drozhzhina noted.
She also added that most Ukrainian guest workers go abroad because of the opportunity for career growth and additional development, which they cannot get in Ukraine.
