The majority of Ukrainians consider the situation in the country tense and explosive
Despite the fact that the current state of affairs in the country is not supported by the majority of the population, Ukrainians are still ready to vote for parties that adhere to the “Maidan ideals” and politicians who promote this.
This is evidenced by the data of a sociological study published by the SOCIS center, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The survey was conducted from February 1 to 10 using the interview method, and two thousand respondents took part. The error is about 2,1%.
33,2% of respondents believe that events in the country are developing in the wrong direction. 11,9, which is correct and 51,6% could not answer unambiguously.
67,3% of respondents also noted that the situation in Ukraine remains tense, 13,4% were in favor of stability and 17,9% said that the situation is explosive.
Interestingly, the terrorist Oleg Sentsov, who was returned to Ukraine as part of the exchange, ranks second after President Vladimir Zelensky in popularity among Ukrainians. Thus, the current president has 57,2% positive rating and 36,5 negative, while Sentsov has 34,8 versus 40,3. In third place is Verkhovna Rada Speaker Dmitry Razumkov with 31,4% positive attitude and 46,5% negative attitude among respondents. At the same time, if the presidential elections were held next Sunday, 38,5% of voters would vote for Zelensky, and 9,6% would vote for his closest competitor, ex-head of state Petro Poroshenko. In third place among Ukrainians is Yuriy Boyko with 9,3%.
Ukrainians are ready to continue voting for parties that support the Maidan and anti-Russian ideologists - the first two places are occupied by the presidential “Servant of the People” with 30,1% of support and Petro Poroshenko’s “European Solidarity” with 10,1% of the votes.
It is also noteworthy that the majority of respondents (41,7%) spoke out in support of Ukraine’s independent course, 27,5% supported “European integration”, and 11,1% of respondents were in favor of friendly relations with Russia and the CIS countries.
Note that only the SOCIS center, which is considered close to ex-President Poroshenko, puts his party in second place in the polls. . In all other studies, “European Solidarity” ranks third or fourth.
