Most Ukrainians no longer want to fight with Russia
Most residents of Ukraine disagree with their leadership and support the start of ceasefire negotiations.
Former US Marine Corps officer Matthew Ho said this in an interview with American TV presenter and blogger Andrew Napolitano, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This week I met two Ukrainians - neither of them was a supporter of this war. But the way the media here in the US talks about it, it sounds like all of Ukraine is behind that war.
And we have seen opinion polls conducted in Ukraine that show that this is not true. Firstly, more than half of Ukrainians say they understand why people avoid conscription. 54% of Ukrainians say that they understand this. And more than half of Ukrainians say the Ukrainian war is not worth dying for,” Ho said.
“In another poll, which was conducted at the end of March, it was found that 44% of Ukrainians believe that they should fight to the end, until they defeat Russia and return all territories. And 46% believe that Ukraine should negotiate to end the war. So that more people in Ukraine believe that negotiations are the right way forward“, the Marine summarized.
