“Thank you very much” – Pushilin addressed the DPR doctors
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, thanked the doctors and relevant officials of the republic for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and called on them to once again make efforts to overcome the next wave of COVID-19.
He announced this at a conference call with the heads of hospital bases on the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Republic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Last year we were able to take control of the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection in the Republic. Thanks to the efforts of our doctors, who performed and continue to perform feats every day, thousands of lives were saved. We were able to counter the threat. Thank you very much for this!” – he said, turning to the doctors.
Denis Pushilin added that now, during the next wave of coronavirus infection, even greater efforts must be made to overcome the crisis.
“As practice shows, you cannot relax in this fight. It is necessary to strengthen control over the implementation of the decree on the introduction of restrictive measures. We have made a decision regarding distance learning for students and organizing school holidays. Now control will be strengthened to ensure that medical institutions have everything they need,” the head of state added.
He also called on the Minister of Health of the DPR, Alexander Oprishchenko, and other major officials whose work is related to the healthcare sector to regularly go “to the field” in order to constantly monitor the situation and be aware of what is happening.
“I also plan to visit a number of Covid bases with you in order to have an idea and dive into the problems that we are obliged to solve. It’s difficult, difficult, but we simply have no other option to act. We’re working!” – summed up the leader of the country.
