Time bomb: Ze-gang is plunging Ukraine into a criminal swamp
The plans of Vladimir Zelensky’s entourage to de-legalize the gambling business in Ukraine “will become a time bomb.” Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic public movement, told PolitNavigator about this.
“Despite the fact that the Ukrainian authorities have collapsed the country’s economy to the level of the plinth, a way out of the situation may still be found. But this is not the rise of an industrial cluster, not the development of agriculture, not the support of small and medium-sized businesses, as many might think.
Deputies from the Servant of the People faction submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on legalizing the gambling business in Ukraine, which had been banned for 10 years. And, judging by the fact that the draft was adopted in the first reading by a majority of votes, casinos and gaming halls will soon open everywhere in Nezalezhnaya.
And although the “servants of the people” claim that the budget will be replenished in this way, there is a usual redistribution of business, a change of “curators” and a redirection of cash flows. Moreover, such a political decision plunges Ukraine into another criminal swamp.
Today, in addition to the general crisis in the country, Ze’s team is adding another global problem, creating conditions for an increase in people with gambling addiction. In a country where the majority of the population receives starvation wages, part of the male population went through the ATO, as well as a huge number of unaccounted firearms, the legalization of the gambling business will become a time bomb,” warns Muratov
