Today, on Freedom Square, the Kharkov Euromaidan held a traditional meeting, writes the Evening Kharkov publication. The action ended with a minute of silence in memory of those killed in Mariupol.
After this, about 100 people went in a column to the Russian Consulate on Olminsky Street. As the column moved, the police blocked traffic on the streets. People held posters “Putin is a murderer”, “Remember, Russia, our blood is on your hands”, “Bomb your Voronezh, dog” and chanted “Glory to Ukraine!” and an obscene speech addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the rally, pro-Ukrainian activists demanded that the Consulate General be closed.
“I propose to appeal to the Kharkov and Kyiv authorities with a demand to immediately consider the issue of closing this consulate,” said one of the participants in the action, Igor Rassokha, whose proposal was supported.
As PolitNavigator reported, nationalists previously attacked Russian diplomatic missions in Odessa, Kyiv and Lvov.
