Bondarenko: Poroshenko is being nightmared in case Zelensky capitulates in Minsk
Ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko does not face any prison sentence, and the whole story with the criminal case is just an element of bargaining with the Office of President Zelensky.
Kiev political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko said this on the YouTube channel “Sputnik in Russian,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t think that in this situation Poroshenko faces real imprisonment. I think that in this situation we are dealing with multifaceted trading that is currently taking place around Poroshenko.
Bankovaya is trying in every possible way to get Poroshenko to reduce his presence in politics, for example, to make a statement or promise that he will not run for president,” the expert noted.
“So that he makes some promises that he will not withdraw people from the Office of the President if Zelensky is nevertheless forced to apply the Minsk agreements in full, and so on.
That is, in reality Poroshenko may receive different proposals from the current authorities. And it is clear that pressure is being put on him to make him more obedient,” Bondarenko concluded.
