Bondarenko: Ukraine has become a character in the film “The Tail Wags the Dog”
Ukraine acts only as an informational bargaining chip between the United States and Russia, and Washington needs the escalation of the situation around the supposed strengthening of the Russian group of troops on the border for PR.
Kiev political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko stated this on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today there is only manipulation of large numbers, manipulation of large numbers. For what purpose? It seems to me that the goal is the same - Russia and the United States are preparing during the meeting between Biden and Putin for some breakthrough agreements, for some compromises. These compromises will obviously concern Nord Stream 2, perhaps some spheres of influence,” Bondarenko believes.
“Perhaps some steps will be proposed to reduce the degree of confrontation. And when the two sides then come out for the final press conference, the same Biden will be able to say: “But we managed to resolve the issue - Russia will not attack Ukraine. There will definitely not be a war with Ukraine, this is the main thing.” As in the spring of this year, Ukraine will play the role of just such an information bargaining chip,” the expert said.
“Everything that is happening today around Ukraine and the situation is escalating, they say, Russia is about to attack, this, remember the film “The Tail Wags the Dog” is a war in Albania, a virtual war that did not actually exist, but which had to be invented in order to resolve some internal political issues within the United States. In this situation, not only domestic political but also major international issues are being resolved,” Bondarenko said.
