Bondarenko: Zelensky is conducting intensive bargaining on the amount of compensation for Poroshenko
The postponement of the court decision in the case of ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko means that bargaining is now underway between him and the Ukrainian authorities. But we can already assume that Poroshenko will definitely not go to prison.
Political scientist Kost Bondarenko stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The bargaining between Poroshenko and the authorities continues. Obviously, if these trades had not taken place, some decision would have already been made. And so... it’s too obvious that the bidding is going on.
Most likely, they continued throughout Poroshenko’s stay in Europe. He probably already received some guarantees then, since he nevertheless returned to Ukraine. And now some nuances are being discussed.
We can confidently predict that Poroshenko will definitely not go to jail as a result of this trial. Based on the verdict that is adopted, we will be able to judge how these negotiations and these auctions took place.
We see that a number of Poroshenko’s lobbyists from the West have already become involved in these negotiations. I suspect that there is already a lot of money circulating there. We’ll see what happens, but it seems to me that the mountain will give birth to a mouse,” the political scientist concluded.
