Arsen Avakov surprised the hosts with the statement that Ukraine and Singapore are in similar situations - they border on a large aggressive country with a similar cultural and linguistic context: “But you are not attacked in the same way as Ukraine. Unfortunately, over the past 5 years we have gained extensive experience in countering cyber attacks, among other things. And it is very right that you carefully prepare for possible threats, ranging from phishing attacks to the spread of fake news and interference in the work of government agencies.”
In turn, Chairman of the National Police Sergei Knyazev emphasized that one of the main elements in countering hybrid warfare is the cyber police: “This relatively recently created unit shows excellent results. The cyber police employs well-trained people who own modern tools and are ready to resist any hacker attack.”
