He stated this during a press conference in Donetsk. According to him, the head of the Oplot organization, Alexander Zakharchenko, will be the prime minister instead, whom he recommended as his close friend, a brave man, an excellent specialist, a patriot of his native land, and a wonderful organizer.
Borodai himself is moving to the job of first deputy prime minister and will be an adviser to Zakharchenko.
Alexander Borodai explained his decision by saying that he is from Moscow, but Donetsk should still be led by a Donetsk citizen.
Answering questions from journalists, he said that Igor Strelkov still remains the Minister of Defense of the DPR.
As Navigator reported, on July 24, the DPR parliament elected a new speaker after Denis Pushilin resigned.
