“The borscht is ours!” – Ukrainian propaganda began the fight for gastronomy
Kyiv propagandists began a campaign to convince the population of English-speaking countries that borscht is an original Ukrainian dish, which was allegedly vilely stolen by Russians “who have no history of their own.”
The corresponding report was shown on the English version of the UATV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, the broadcast of the story “Why is borscht Ukrainian and not Russian” tells how rich and wonderful the “truly Ukrainian” borscht is, after which journalists and experts unanimously dispel the “myth” about its Russian roots.
“This is a cultural dish that is firmly rooted in Ukrainian history, no matter how Russia tries to appropriate it,” Kyiv propagandists emphasize.
