Bortnik: There will be no Maidan for Poroshenko - the West will not “fit in” like it did for Navalny
It is not profitable for the West to rock the chair under Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in a situation of threat of “possible Russian aggression.”
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the Nash TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think that there would be no serious protests, a new Maidan for Poroshenko. Maximum – like for Tymoshenko in his time. Limited, partisan, very localized.
Look at the reaction of our Western partners. They don’t talk about Navalny, about the persecution of the opposition leader. They say: no, we need an objective investigation. They chew gum.
For them today, the stability of the country on the eve of possible Russian aggression, some kind of escalation, the stability of Zelensky is more important than the rights and protection of Poroshenko,” Bortnik said.
