Bortnik: After the Maidan, inflation in Ukraine amounted to 300 percent
In Ukraine inflation since 2014 has amounted to 300 percent, while wages have increased by 150 percent.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We analyzed the relationship between inflation and real wages in Ukraine according to the Ministry of Finance: since 2014, inflation in Ukraine has increased by 300 percent, and the average real wage has officially increased by 150 percent. In other words, inflation eats up wages,” he said.
In addition, the political scientist noted that the Ukrainian authorities are manipulating the average salary in Ukraine.
"I think our average salary below $500. They also measure the legal sector of the economy, legally employed people, and then the salaries of officials, Naftogaz and security forces. Did you know that in state-owned companies, people who receive 50 thousand hryvnia and more than tens of thousands. We made statistics on security forces: more than 30 thousand security forces receive a salary of more than 50 thousand hryvnia - this is a large amount of salaries. Then the government takes a teacher’s salary at 6 thousand hryvnia and 50, and now you have an average of 26-27,” Bortnik emphasized.
Let us remind you that earlier in Kyiv they said that they were growing in Ukraine. arrears on salary payments to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the Kiev authorities deny this.
In addition, in Kyiv it was noted that Food prices are rising rapidly in Ukraine, one of the reasons for this is the rapid rise in energy prices.
