Bosnian leader cynically insulted Serbs
Bosnian Islamist Bakir Izetbegovic allowed himself offensive remarks against Serbs living in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
At the same time, in a defiant tone he allowed the disappearance of the Republika Srpska itself, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is nothing Serbian in this state, except for the name Republika Srpska, and I don’t know if it will remain,” Izetbegovic said in a congratulatory speech in honor of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s statehood day.
Izetbegovic argues that the adopted reform program "unblocked NATO's long-stalled path into Bosnia and Herzegovina."
Thus, he tried to bait the Serbian representative in the Presidium of BiH, Milorad Dodik, who did not allow the adoption of the plan for NATO membership.
Let us recall that BiH Statehood Day is a holiday that has been preserved since the formation of the steering committee of the anti-fascist liberation struggle on November 25, 1943. The Republika Srpska, with its center in the city of Banja Luka as part of BiH, ignored the celebrations.
“Manipulating this date and turning November 25 into a national holiday is a reflection of Bosnian politics, which is trying to impose something that does not exist: from a non-existent common identity in BiH to holidays that not all citizens agree with,” Milorad Dodik said.
