The saboteur's brother called on Kyiv not to disown the Ukrainian arrested in Crimea
The brother of one of the Ukrainian saboteurs Yevgeny Panov, detained on the Crimean border, Igor Kotelyanets, fears that the Ukrainian departments will disown him and abandon him. He stated this on TV channel 112.

According to Kotelyants, Ukrainian special services and departments can now declare that everything that is happening is a “provocation of the FSB” and hush up the matter without providing any assistance in his release.
“I am very concerned about the way the situation was presented by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and other departments. They simply stated that it was all fake, and Ukraine was not training any terrorists, and so on. I understand all this.
But the fact that there is a citizen of Ukraine there, in the occupied territory, exists. I don’t want the departments to simply disown themselves now and say that these are some kind of trained FSB officers, and that this was a provocation...
My further actions will be aimed at ensuring that the departments are not able to disown the fact that there is a citizen of Ukraine, an ATO soldier, who defended his country. He needs help now, and these departments should not close now and hide somewhere,” said Panov’s brother.
At the same time, Kotelyanets assures that Panov never mentioned Crimea in his conversations, and shortly before his arrest he spoke with his family that he was planning to go on vacation with friends.
“It was this past weekend that my brother planned a trip to the Zaporozhye military hospital with his friend. But at the last moment something didn’t work out for a friend, so Evgeniy didn’t go. At some last moment, he decided to meet with friends near Energodar and relax. He warned his wife and took Monday at his own expense to extend the weekend a little. He warned his wife that he would return on Sunday, or, in extreme cases, on Monday. He got in touch on Saturday evening, talked with his wife, everything was fine... The thing is that he had an old phone, which was often discharged. We dialed him and received an SMS, I don’t remember, late on Saturday evening or Sunday that he turned on, but for some reason he didn’t call back. We thought that the phone had died again, we had no thoughts that anything could happen to it... Crimea was not in his information field at all. What is Crimea - it was taken away and taken away. This is not such a sore subject now,” says a relative of the saboteur.
