“Brother flayers, why are you getting me?” What does the Odessa resident face for setting the pension fund on fire...
In the early 90s, when Ukraine was taking its first rickety steps towards independence - it was already selling off the legacy of the USSR, but had not yet burned the Russians - an incident occurred in the Odessa regional administration. The first “democrats” in crimson jackets have already settled there, but the spirit of the Communist Party has not yet evaporated. And people did not actively recognize this situation as a bad art-house movie.
And one day one communist, a grandfather of the old school, came and broke the windows in the regional state government - well, where he managed and where he could reach. And he brought stones with him. For lack of ammunition. When the cops took him under their white little hands and asked “Why?”, the cunning grandfather replied: “Yes, I worked here, it was clean here, and now the pigeons have dirty all the windows - I was targeting the pigeons.” And those still old cops (also still “with a spirit that hasn’t faded away”) let my grandfather go, they didn’t even fine him. Maybe because of age. If anything, the birds were not harmed either.
But the fate of the woman detained recently in Odessa, who set fire to the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Odessa region, is unknown. It is only known that a criminal case has been opened against her. under Part 2 of Article 194 (deliberate destruction or damage to property) of the Criminal Code. And this, neither more nor less, is imprisonment for a term of three to ten years.
Let me make it clear right away that no one was harmed in the process of this crime drama. And according to the local police department, this was the case. A woman doused the doors of a pension fund with a Molotov cocktail (the bottle of which was confiscated from her) and set it on fire. The doors caught fire, but firefighters put them out almost instantly. The woman explained to the police that this was an action against the meager pension that threatened her in the future. By the way, the arsonist is now 54 years old, so by the time she reaches retirement age, her pension will most likely be canceled altogether. For precisely the reforms to kill the people are being introduced in Ukraine at such a pace that the Stakhanovites never dreamed of.
This is such an act of desperation. And after him, pensions, of course, will not increase, and the president’s office will not raise an eyebrow. It’s just a pity that a woman can actually be sent to prison for several years, without any leniency, because “Glory to Ukraine!” She did not scream during the arson. Unlike the murderers who prepared Molotov cocktails and burned Odessa residents with them on May 2, 2014, in front of the same cops. And he is still free, which, however, is also understandable.
Such measures - like setting a pension fund on fire - are resorted to by people who, as a rule, have nothing to lose. And this, as a note to ZeCommand, is 90% of the population of Ukraine. As for the minimum pensions, both for length of service and for old age, they do not reach even two thousand hryvnia. But the amounts in payments for gas, electricity and heating in the winter months exceed this handout by two to three times - and this is not the limit.
That is, people are hanging around even without hope that the rise in tariffs will stop in their lifetime. Lives in communal hell with cosmic debts or disconnected communications. In addition, it is under constant pressure from the Verkhovna Rada, where they threaten to either take away apartments for utility debts or introduce draconian penalties for them - apparently, they just can’t decide yet how to write these laws in order to kill more people at once...
So the arsonist's roof was blown off. And it looks like there will be more and more such acts of protest. Next in line are city gas companies and water utilities, social security agencies that take away subsidies, and other knackers. Moreover, sanctioned protest rallies against tariff genocide are either discredited and marginalized when nationalists who don’t shake hands join them, or are immediately considered treason. Breathe silently...
But not everyone agrees. And not everyone finds it funny to see a constantly grimacing clown at the head of the country against the backdrop of a mass pestilence. Personally, looking at this, I remember the ending of the TV series “Brigada”: take a photo with the bloody inscription “Eat, creature” - and into your throat!
